Have a pleasant day and a lovely dinner.

Last load of laundry in the dryer so I'm gonna spend a couple of hours watching football and Nascar while knitting. Need to ball up a skein of yarn too. Dinner is leftovers, so just need to reheat it later.

Fancy organic chicken hacked into pieces, then roasted on a bed of potatoes, carrots, butternut squash, onions, fennel bulb, and a while head of sliced garlic. Seasoned with pepper, thyme, rosemary, marjoram; served with fresh green beans. Veggies from our CSA box.
A light gray plate witg dark green border and green, gold, and red abstract designs has part of a roasted chicken breast, green beans (upper right) and mixed potato, butternut squash, carrot, onion, and fennel chunks.

Breakfast out, lots of laundry, met with the guy who's clearing out the bittersweet and overgrown rhododendrons to clarify that it's my yard. Made a really good dinner with the fancy organic chicken, knitted, watched more baseball & texted about it with my SO who was listening to it in his suite.

I have successfully carved cooked turkeys, which is a great skill. I watched my parents cut up whole chickens for many years and thoughtI understood the techniques, but apparently I got the idea but the execution leaves something to be desired. Might look for a class, doubt there's one close.

OMG! I've never cut up a whole raw chicken before - not sure I have even now - but watching it would have been a hoot!

Call them today to set your mind at ease. They probably have reduced staff on weekends and may not have had time to check out and respond to your email in an hour or 2.

Vent all you want, just realize some people may be uncomfortable with what you say. Also, talking with a therapist or counselor doesn't take the place of venting. Make a list of things you need to talk about in case you (like I do) tend to draw a blank when asked what's up.

Exactly. And I don't really care which team wins at this point - I just want the Dodgers to lose eventually.

Detroit - Seattle game is quite the battle! I wasn't planning to watch this late, but can't stop now.

She actually works for the old one, who sent her to me with minimal instructions and no notification to me. She did ok, and was practically on time which has been an issue with her "boss" (30 mins late vs 2.5 hours late). I'm just annoyed at having to train her - 1st world problem for sure.

A bit of NH scenery from our drive today. Color wasn't outstanding although the sky was incredibly blue! All photos taken through the windshield of SOs little Toyota truck.
One of many granite outcroppings on the way to Warner on the left side of the photo. There are trees growing out of cracks in the rock. The sky on the right and center is incredibly blue. The road is a major north - south highway, all 2 lanes of it, and there is no traffic at 2 pm. The courtyard of the business that has our CSA box for us. There's green wooden park bench on thd lower left, and a circular rock wall in the center background with seating and plants. The grass is covered with leaves from the tree that frames the upper part of the photo. There's a white building on the right side. On the left side are the most colorful group of trees from today - green, gold, orange, and a tiny bit of almost red. Blue sky and a couple of cars - there is a bit of traffic in NH!

TGIF! Trained a new housekeeper today, not happy about it. Then SO and I took a drive (50 mile round trip) to pick up our CSA box - pretty but not outstanding color due to drought. Did stuff around the house, then dinner out and more baseball. Started a new book, knitted. Damn I'm boring!

Or if you're a little plus sized, 5'3" tall, with long legs (per the accommodations dude at work) then petite pants will be 2" to short and women's pants will be 2" too long. I've been hemming pants for 40 or so years. I used to sew my own pants because it was just easier!

Our favorite dive-y fish place closes for the season next week, so we had one last wonderful dinner tonight. There were several children running wild who made me think retroactive birth control should absolutely be a thing.

Mine all came from outlet stores, where it's much less than list price. No way I'm paying full price. The colors are great, and every time I think I've decided on the best one, they come out with another winner.

I love the few pieces I have and they do have to be hand-washed. That's ok; SO does the washing up because he doesn't like the way I do it! Won't be buying more because the bigger pieces which I prefer are just too heavy and I don't want to drop them.

Interesting that the photo shows 5 1/4" floppies but the sweater yoke has 3.5" floppies 💾 . I still may do this as a first real fair isle project because of the wonderful nerdiness!

I have way too much yarn and fabric! I donated 7 large trash bags of yarn before moving 6 years ago, and still moved 93 boxes of yarn and fabric. I take yarn to knitting groups every week - this week I got rid of yarn for 3 sweaters and 1 shawl. It was too easy to buy every year at Stitches West!

Somewhat busy day: early yoga class, put Instacart order away, did one load of laundry, knitting group. Sorted cables and cords into appropriate bins, found lots of adapters and cables, so I think we're set for a while (or until they change designs on us), cooked dinner. watched baseball.

I had a t-shirt with that on it!

My husband just suggested I turn the living room into a 2nd yarn and fabric room! I already use the adjoining parlor and upstairs walk-in attic for yarn I'm not going to use soon. He's a keeper; also has 2 upstairs rooms for his ham radios and computers.
