Happy 40th Anniversary to the Nintendo Entertainment System, which launched in North America today!

Have you ever played this system before? What’s your favorite NES game?
Dude! You're a Saint for finding this for me! 😆
I'll need to see how I can modify it for the Switch 2! 😉

Better make it 2002. I don't want to see one certain thing happen ever again.

On this day in 2002, 23 years ago, Togepi's Great Adventure was released in Japan for the Pokémon mini.

This game features Togepi going through various towers to return home after being kidnapped

Oohh! I like the Switch64! 😄
And it just gave me the BEST idea EVER! (to me) 😜
A Nintendo Switch dock modeled after an original, North American Nintendo Entertainment System with the "VCR-like" game slot, but you instead insert the Switch!
Has someone out there already done this?! I need to know! 😆😆

Speaking to a recruitment agent today who was extremely nice, made me feel better by informing me that they have had the worst year so far regarding jobs so at least it's not just me.
Because I have a mechanical heart valve, I'm more prone to forming a clot around the valve which could end up breaking off, leaving the heart, and getting stuck somewhere, blocking blood flow. So I take warfarin to "thin my blood" and stay in an INR range of 2 to 3. Which changes SO easily. 😑
INR (International Normalized Ratio): a test of how quickly the blood is able to clot
"Normal" is 1.0; values <1.0 the blood is "thick" and clotts too quickly/easily; values >1.0 the blood is "thin" and takes longer to clott.
He told me to monitor it and let him know if things worsen. I've gone since then and things a blackish/dark-red, which is good. Makes it look like it isn't ACTIVELY bleeding anymore. We'll see what happens overnight. I almost guarantee I'll need a unit or two of blood transfused come Monday though.
Several more hours later, I get up and I'm feeling breathless. Around 2pm, I go once more. Still. Bright-red blood. Now, I am pretty concerned. 😰
I text my doc and he asks me to check my INR (explained at end of thread) and my result is 1.2 which means that, for me, my blood is clotting too quickly!
My first BM after my procedure, about 18 hours later, showed a good amount of bright-red blood.
"Eh... some bleeding can be expected. 😕"
Go back to sleep. Several hours later.
"I probably just needed to get a residual amount out my tract... 😓"
Go back to sleep.
Maybe I shouldn't have said anything. My body decided to disappoint me again. Even though he didn't take any tissue biopsies, having my gastroenterologist digging around in my colon yesterday somehow led to a significant amount of bleeding.
Finally was able to have my colonoscopy done today. Doc said that it looks the best it's ever looked. That a lot of my problem areas, though still visible, have healed a good deal.
Considering I'm more accustomed to my body disappointing me, to actually have good news? Pretty nice to hear.
She was bounced around and on doggie downers because she was "too hyper." Uhh, yeah. She's a puppy! 🙄
She was the best unexpected thing we could've asked for and she gave us lots of love for 17 years. This is one of my favorite pictures. It's as if she knows she's a gift.
Her bed is usually there. 😆
Anyway. Seeing all the sad puppies every visit, mom wasn't about to let these people just leave her there. So, she took her in before she even had a chance to enter the pound's system. She also decided to ask for forgiveness instead of permission and didn't call dad until she was on her way home. 😆

Mom was going every other day to the local pound looking for our previous 15yo dog we think might've run off to die. We never did find her, but one day a couple was bringing in a full-bred mini poodle to just leave because they "couldn't handle her." She was a puppy. 😑
