It's a robo-call too. They left an automated message. The number I got is 1-800-460-0440 and that isn't the fedex customer service number.

Especially if you're like me, have allergies, and your place is able to work with you to make sure you don't get shrimp/shellfish/oyster sauce accidentally. 🙏🙏🙏 my fave Vietnamese place closed YEARS ago. And while I can make most of it myself, sometimes I just don't wanna 😭😭

Yeah I know, I've been online a long time, and I'm in marketing, but that removes the social aspect of social media and places like Instagram require you to be active to have your content pushed in the algorithm so using Hootsuite or whatever doesn't help.

It is a LOT!! It's ridiculous! And to see like zero traction on socials because they don't want other ppl to make sales is frustrating AF. Like I always say - I'd rather have 1000 active and engaged followers than 10k bots. Even if I only make 100 sales.

THAT. But I'm also currently housebound (not by choice) and haven't got an offline community, rather it's just boring to me to be online. I'd rather be reading a book or playing a game than doomscrolling. There's not a current solution and it's frustrating (esp as someone IN marketing.)

I could run my own website but that's also reliant on hosting services and just HOPING that they don't decide to wreck everyone's shit with censorship for no reason, too. So that's not really a solution either. And I don't have an advertising budget for trad media. *shrug*

We need to build a better system for self-promotion. Newsletters aren't for everyone, and social media is in a strange state of decline and censorship that means a lot of creators are just gonna disappear.

The more I step away from social media because of IRL stuff, the less inclined I am to come back to it. Which is terrible because there are no other channels for promoting my work.

Well my first essay in this crappy English class just got sent back as "unacceptable" even though I followed all the instructions and didn't say that Hemingway sucks. 👿👿 I literally hate this. None of this has to do with marketing lol. Genuinely hate this university.
