It really seems like something that came up at the last minute, which is probably why they priced it so low. Unlike Proud and, I assume, Horizon, where there must be something truly significant.

Num geral não, mas vários programas não irão funcionar, mesmo que você use o wine (que habilita a opção de usar executaveis do windows) . Por exemplo, Photoshop.
