As Chaleur here said, back when it was made it really wasn't discussed much that the word was derogatory. I don't think I would have known it was offensive back then, neither would plenty of others at the time.

I agree that the creator of FNAF is a pos. But while I'm not a fan of MatPat, I don't think witch hunting him over things from years ago that were already clarified is a good idea. Don't make this website become like the Twitter's worst.

You say that like Pyro is a real person. The video was around 12 years Not only was transvestigating not really a thing at the time, but the whole problem with transvestigating is that it's making weird conspiracy theories about real people.

He made a tweet years ago in 2018 apologizing and stating he didn't know the attack hellicopter thing was used for transphobic reasons. And the pyro thing was 12 years ago. Not to mention it's a theory about a fictional character, not a real one.

A lot of these are in bad faith. One of these was straight up satire. There are moments I remember where Mat is very supportive of transitioning and gives accurate details on how it works.
