Bone head with a special interest in the effect of ageing and bone health in common and rare diseases from Osteoporosis to Osteogenesis Imperfecta. I like to read books and tell you about it. I like to watch F1 races and nag about it.

I LOVE Robert Harris books. His book Act of Oblivian is no exception. Set around the British civil war and execution of Charles the 1st we follow a man hunt for two of the accomplices across the Atlantic and to the European main land. Simply a #GREATRead the #booksky peeps will enjoy.
I have for the last couple on and off read ‘The Rub-a-dub-dub’ trilogy by Nathan Burrows. Set in Norfolk, this dark humour story cirkles around a house of terror that somehow is the center of bad stuff. It’s dark, plot twisting and quite a #funread that I think many of you #booksky peeps will like
Managed to squeeze one more book in before going back to work: Kristian Leth - Verdens Vigtigste Bog. This book discusses Christianity, its origins and importance in our otherwise secular wester world. It tries to explain how rooted religion is in our way of thinking regardless of faith. #goodread
Third summer book was the nix by Nathan Hill. The story is centered around Samuel Andersen-Anderson and his relationship with his mother. As he tries to understand her story, we travel several decades and he unravels his own. This is a witty, clever and capturing #Goodread that #booksky will enjoy
@perdamkier.bsky.social - try kills birds (there’s not an inkling of AI there). The 2025 EP is quite kewl.
Second book of the summer - Solvej Balle - om udregning af rumfang I. Great story of an antique book seller who gets stuck on the 18th of November. This is an excellent book (1 out of 7) about existentialism and not fitting in. This is a #booksky #greatread
I read Sally Rooney’s intermezzo. My first, but not last’ SR book. A story of two different brothers living their mirrored life in parallel but with opposite directions. This is a book about grief, love, come of age and coming to terms. A really #greatread & I will strongly recommend if for #booksky
Now I’ve read the whole series. And as far as dystopian postacopalyptic disaster sci-fi goes this series is quite good. The third book #dust has a very obvious ending - but I did enjoy it. It is a #booksky #goodread
I finished the second instalment of the Silo series #shift. In this book we learn about the politics behind Silo project and get Solo’s origin story. Hugh Howey tells a great post-acopolypse story. This #booksky is a #goodread
My son just finished the David Williams book ‘Gangsta Granny strikes again’ and we loved it. Great read. Funny, touching and just as crazy as the first book. #booksky you and your kid will love it.
Oh yeah. I read the first book in the silo series, Wool. I think it was made better for me, as I loved the tv show. it’s a great post-apocalyptic story. There is a passage where the hero asks - how did we know to prepare? Because we were the only one who knew. How, because we caused it #booksky
Brian Wilson…. Sad news. May he rest in peace.
I finished @lydmor.bsky.social ‘jeg har tænkt mig at skrige hele vejen’ a gripping tale of love and dependence. This is a definitiv #mustread for all #booksky peeps. Hope the books gets translated into English for your reading pleasure.
I have read Anton Hur’s Towards Eternity - an epic about nanotechnology and the definition of life. It was a interesting read at first, but the story did not get me to the extent I had hoped. #booksky
‘I’ve done that before…. In a Mario Cart’ - is the greatest cool down comment to date @f1tv.bsky.social #whatwashethinking!

Gave a talk at my department about rare disorders with skeletal involvement. I showed a picture of Joey Ramone and asked my colleagues to name the singer and band. Long story short, I am looking for a new place to work as zero of my colleagues had any idea who he was. #bones
The @f1tv.bsky.social cooldown rooms this season are great. To here the drivers have fun seeing the highlights and hearing what they experience on track is just great. Great race #Lando
@kentsoe.bsky.social making a strong case for 2 different froms of osteoclast resorptive behaviour at #ECTS2025. Stating that epigenetic factors may change the ‘normal’ pit forming OCs to a more aggressive ‘trench’ resorption mode.
Forget the Manhatten plot everyone, please welcome the Brisbane plot - we’ve moved on. - Professir Emma Duncan #ECTS2025
Day 2 of #ECTS2025 is of to a good start. Best talk so far was the update on BMD measurements by professor John J Carey. Made me laugh, think and miss Ireland.
So #ECTS2025 has started. What a first day. We had our workshop on the life long needs of people with OI. Great talks and great discussions. Meeting people and shaking hands all day. Great to see @michaellaurent.bsky.social for a quick catch up. @ectssociety.bsky.social in person meetings FTW.
So easy it’s obvious. See you soon #ects2025
