Learned today through @tpwky.bsky.social that a number of diseases were potentially going to be added to the universal newborn screenings but RFK jr axed the council that decided on that. I have a MAGA voting family member with one of those diseases, and I wish telling them would make a difference 💔

I’ve generally been very happy with her decisions. She tries to fly under the radar purposefully I think and works hard to protect vulnerable students and employees.

There are a half dozen truly troubling lines in this album that cannot be divorced from the context of the political moment or racialized use of those phrases/words.

we live in a cursed timeline because what is this?!? And yes, I read the article, which is barely even about her style choices. What she wore was the standard fieldwork apparel of the day. The only style choice that was atypical (high top converse in the field) WAS NOT EVEN MENTIONED!

Colleagues have pointed out that the Dartmouth response is strategically ambiguous. If I were faculty or alumni, I would provide feedback that: 1) you interpret this to mean that the unviersity is refusing to sign a corrupt contract; and 2) you are proud of the university for taking that stance.
