Happy half frame Friday! #hff

Continuing the build-up to #wwhfpd25 here's a recap of what it's all about.
Black text on white background reads "We are excited to announce the inaugural Worldwide Half-frame Photography Day on 6th September 2025.

A day to celebrate and have fun with this great film format.

We hope people all over the world will go out with their half-frame cameras and have some fun taking photos! Either solo or by going on a photo-walk with other half-frame aficionados." Black text on white background reads "As part of the day, we are running a photography competition. Photo competition is free to enter, the three categories are:
People
Places
Possibilities

Photos can be taken from 1-7th Sept, so people have a chance to take 72 frames. Submissions will be open from 7th September to 8th November 2025

I think it was more the random Tuesday evening bit that surprised me, not even a weekend.

Someone's started on the fireworks this evening. 🤔🎆

Quite a bodying, here, for the UK, from the Commissioner for Human Rights, Council of Europe.

🏮 He points out the Supreme Court ignored human rights (which breaches its legal obligations)
🏮 He says, in effect agreeing with Lucy Powell, Parliament should be involved...

I've got quite a few different angles/shots and was trying to find the one that got the best balance of the water flow and reflection. I was happy with this one, really captures that vibrancy reflected in the still water I think. 😊

Thanks, the 85/1.8 lens gets the credit!

Ah, tragic. But rather she took that than the roku nana.

Lovely! And there was me, happy for having seen the Dean Village dippers two days in a row! 😅

Only if the Charmera is hidden under that toy camera?

Oh, and some really lovely photos on your page! 📷

It's maybe the safe/boring option but with that selection I'd take the EOS. Because it's the safe option it shouldn't get in the way of the trip, plus it's pretty light and portable. Maybe with just the zoom, and take the Vitomatic for fun?

Have you been before, and do you have images in mind or any desired output from the trip?

Oh, I love this kind of shot! 😎

Had a lovely walk along part of the Water of Leith path yesterday morning. For #sharemondays2025 here's a photo of the reflection at the top of one of the weirs.
Colour photograph of golden autumn foliage reflected in the still water above a weir, and the weir itself.
