The celebration continues! #FullerAcres residents hosted a community event in their neighborhood at Kern County’s first pocket park!

This park is a testament to the power of community advocacy. Now, and for future generations, families and children have a beautiful green space to gather and play!

The park is the result of a community-driven process and represents a major investment in community infrastructure for #FullerAcres, thanks to the resilience of the community and collaboration from the County.
#FullerAcres residents achieved this transformative change to land use in their neighborhood through persistent engagement in public processes with the County and community organizing.
For years, the #FullerAcres community pursued a vision to turn an empty lot in their neighborhood into a park. On Friday, community leaders gathered together with Kern County to celebrate the grand opening of that vision!

It’s time for real accountability. If the @california-hcd.bsky.social is considering giving Fresno its Prohousing status back, they need to prove that they’ll protect renters, fund real housing solutions, and actually listen to the community.
