I felt very strongly about the supreme court ruling, politically and emotionally. It really hurt me, even though I’m a cisgender woman, and it still hurts me because it targets people within my community. I really feel part of the queer community because I grew up in a pretty small town in the Netherlands and didn’t have a lot of queer people in my circle or in school, and there wasn’t a lot of representation on TV. I never really felt a part of any community because I didn’t really know it was out there. Growing up and coming out and being in women’s football, which has a very accepting and open environment, and then moving to Manchester, I felt that I could be myself and I became much more in touch with the community. Die FA hat mir auf Nachfrage bestätigt, dass die Ermittlung gegen Rafaela Borggräfe aufgrund einer mutmaßlichen rassistischen Äußerung noch nicht abgeschlossen ist.
Der DFB hat sie erst in die U23 und jetzt nachträglich das A-Nationalteam berufen. Für Liverpool hat sie zuletzt wieder gespielt. 1/4

Ja!! hinzu kommt, dass ich mir nicht vorstellen kann, dass auf kritische Nachfrage da von Wück oder wem anders vom dfb was kommt, das nicht „wir konzentrieren uns aufs sportliche“ ist 🫠

Ich frage mich schon auch konkret, was das mit einem oft als safer Space und als divers benannten Raum wie dem Frauenfußball ( und auch mit Teams ggf) macht, bei dem zB queersein einfach dazugehört

absolutely! esp since Wamser has only recently started playing that position at Frankfurt. She did a good job I think but overall Wück is making some…interesting personal/tactical choices

Thank you!! I share your thoughts re Blomqvist and Frankfurt,they talk a lot about wanting to get closer to WOB and Bayern but yeah idk.
And completely agree re wob, will be interesting to see if they can keep their position in the league or if other clubs ( Union 👀) will take their spot

Do you have any thoughts/ opinions on Eintracht Frankfurt’s transfers(particularly Ivelij, Blomqvist, Memeti) and how they’ll fit and on Wolfsburg’s almost entirely new squad?

bei Union teilweise auch an der Grenze, „auf die Fresse“- Gesänge zB auch super unnötig. Finde zwar schön dass so viele kommen und laut singen etc aber komplett anderer vibe & crowd als sonst bei Frauenfußball

Yes totally! And then perhaps Siuan‘s death ( and her storyline) would have felt not like a device to motivate Moiraine, because that doesn’t feel true of the character or the relationship — though that is obv also due to the fact that Sophie Okonedo is only in a few episodes etc

this!! I never expected Siuan and Moiraine to get their happy ending in this turn of the wheel and that’s just part of their story but the death did not need to be so brutal and for shock value and even before this, the show has rightly been criticised for how violent it treats Black characters

But perhaps due to how WoT has handled their lesbian characters thus far - with compassion and gentleness - that the ending can seem like a betrayal. I don't think the death itself is the problem, but the brutality.

I liked her speech as well and Sophie Okonedo is a phenomenal actress!! I just wish her death would’ve been less violent and happened differently/ at a different time or maybe that both Siuan and Moiraine would’ve died at the same time — even if that had been devastating
