I had the option of going with this or the iPad pro but I manage doing what I do on a lil screen without issue.

The pro though nice and all is obscenely priced and -so- overkill in terms of power if I'm basically just using this to work in Procreate

My gen 6 iPad that I’ve been using since 2018 died last week so I had to buy an emergency replacement

So I treated (screams) myself to the new gen 7 iPad mini

Some semblance of cautiously good news came in that the team that I was part of that got shafted by the layoffs is in contact with an Aussie animation studio for potential work

If and when that happens I’m not sure but I’m keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 😮‍💨

It’s bad. My show was one of the big animation studios biggest money makers. And if they were forced to cancel it because of this merger that is a giant red flag for my field. The last few years were bad but this is a different kind of bleak. I’m genuinely freaked out

I knew in my gut as soon as that Skydance Paramount merger was approved that the show that I was set to work on was going to get canned.

Everything feels so helpless.

Looking into it the exact thing that I was scared was going to happen because of a sus corporate merger that everyone knows about has killed the job I have been working -so- hard to make it to

I am now faced with the reality that I may not get to work as an artist in the near future

I want to die.
