Then 2.7 features him losing confidence as the hero; he's corrupted by the dark tide, all his friends get eaten by the goop, and he's being played around with mentally by Cristoforo. This leads up to him considering if he should kill himself the same way Mya and Avidius did.

I think this begun a series of small cracks in Rover. 2.5 was a colossal failure for him. Then 2.6 featured things wildly out of his control to the point where he was lost and unsure what happened to Iuno at the end of her storyline. This to me felt like he just so happened to save iuno through luck

This lulled the players into a sense of security. The story is intentionally about "finding a path where no one suffers/creating a salvation". In 2.5 half the player base flipped on Rover; instead of championing him as a savior, they saw him as hypocritical and someone who abandoned Phrolova

Something Kuro will be eternally blessed for is stripping away power from Rover. You start off WuWa understanding him to be an allegory for God, with the sentinels being his angels. He's undefeatable and always finds out the right path no matter the odds or hardships 1/?

2.x spent so much time micro-scoping into individual characters and struggles, really drawing you in on an intimate level, then 2.7 zooms out and lets you view things on a macro level and lets you see those individual things draw us all together in unity. Not by force, but by freewill and compassion

I can't stop thinking about this update. I can't stop thinking about humanity, in all of its ugliness and hatred and failures, will still find a way to band together in time of crises in the name of hope and love. And that brutality we turn to doesn't define us, and only we can define ourselves.

It messes me up how "identity" is a massive theme of WuWa -- the idea of us having inherent labels, us having our futures stripped from us or being forced onto a set path, the inherent violence and brutality of fate. And of course, the idea that we're the ones who get to decide who we want to be.

2.7 was so finely crafted. It perfectly encapsulated and tied together all of rinascita thematically. I won't say much yet bc it came out yesterday but I just think the storytelling was perfectly cohesive in a really satisfying way.

I love this shot so much. I know its self explanatory, but Lucifer, being cast from heaven, stands up once more to challenge "God," vowing to "settle the score". (s)He flies towards "paradise" in a display of an unabated and unforgotten rebellion. Galbrena gets me SO HYPE DAMN. So excited for 2.7!
