With things like politics that tend to be emotionally draining, reading individual articles on my own volition instead of subscribing gives me some agency to take a mental health break when I want instead of seeing the article in my inbox when I want to step away.

This is notable because it sets the tone for next season. I’ve seen ISU anywhere from 23rd to 11th in the Too Early polls.

15-18 feels right for a preseason ranking (pending any more transfers), but being in the top 20 makes things a lot easier come playoff selection time if ISU is worthy again.

Iowa State football finishes #15 in the AP Poll, marking the 4th-ranked finish in school history. It's the second-highest-ranked finish behind their #9 ranking in the final 2020 season poll. They also finished ranked #25 in 2000 and #19 in 1976. #BlueCy
