Communism was worse than most monarchies it claimed to rule “for the people” but had total control, purges and surveillance.

Monarchies claimed divine right and had some limits via nobles, councils, law and the feudal structure (which was both a pro and con) but Autocracy combines the cons of both

Be careful calling out communists to rude people on Bluesky, some will assume you’re homophobic or transphobic even if you’re LGBTQ yourself i know people in real life mourning family members killed under communist regimes

Do I support conversion therapy? No I want it banned, Do I support forced sterilisation of queer people? Absolutely not I’m pansexual and don’t want to be sterilised, Stop assuming I support this it’s hypocritical to criticise my country while backing a murderous authoritarian ideology.

We’re in 2025 not the early 20th century, key to note USSR had brief, limited LGBTQ inclusivity after the revolution, but it quickly reversed as the state grew authoritarian while the UK and west in general advanced real LGBTQ rights more then the USSR

The Tsar ruled Imperial Russia their corruption sparked the revolution and civil war, It briefly improved life for Russians but then turned authoritarian
