We're now less capable of dealing with a mass health emergency like a pandemic than we were at the beginning of 2020, when Trump had dismissed the Pandemic Response Team early in his term and thrown away their playbook.

China and the WHO may not be as helpful next time around.

How does the Speaker of the House, a political position, get the exclusive power to decide if and when to seat a duly elected member of the minority party?
