Literally saw a video on this the other day where the whole point was how Luke's style is just "I'm a farm boy, screw you" who learns from fighting Vader, whereas Vader is not the cocky sumbitch that lost to obiwan, but a massively methodical tank. It's clusterbomb vs laser guided missile.

Nah, he lost to Obi-Wan, twice. Got disarmed by Dooku, literally.

And yeah, he didn't lose his skills, he just took a medically required respec from a speed-stamina build into tank-Critical hit build.
