I manage a dollar store that will be closing at Christmas. I've been here for 19 years. I can't tell you how hard it is to say goodbye to my customers. Today was the first day of closing. Not sure what I'll do from here but I'll be with this store to the bitter end.

So now that food stamps aren't available to my town, I've posted on Facebook for people who have extra to please donate to food pantries. People who aren't political may start seeing why I am.

Voters should pick their representatives, not the other way around. Glad to get the chance to talk to some of the volunteers and organizers doing the hard work to make sure Prop 50 passes. This vote will have critical implications, not just for California, but for our entire country.

Yet, the average annual cost of insulin went from $2,864 in 2012 to $5,705 in 2016 to $18,000 in 2025. A 25,714% markup. That isn’t inflation or supply chain—It’s corporate greed.

Now—California will sell insulin for $11. Make this nationwide!
