Our Year 6s have been learning how to write informal letters, using punctuation lighten their tone of writing ✍️ Using inspiration from the book ‘The Windrush Child’ they wrote letters as Leonard to his father. Then, they published their work. What great teaching sequence @literacytree.bsky.social

We were thrilled to see Flower Block win the 2025 Wainwright Prize for Children's Book of the Year! 🌻💛

When we reviewed Flower Block over a year ago, we knew it was special. A year on, our Resource Team have created a Whole School Writing Root, supporting teachers to teach through this joyful text.
