I love this little wavy pattern! All the colour work patterns for Ringle are just seven rounds long so they're a quick little interlude in a sea of stockinette - just enough to add a little interest to your knitting time!

I used @lottieknits.bsky.social Aglow DK. It's a beautiful Merino/Silk/Yak blend so it's soft, thick, shiny, bouncy, warm & the silk and yak make it wonderfully drapey. The colourway I chose is called Just a Soupçon and it's a really beautiful deep red.

The two patterns are separated by a band of embroidery, which is stitched after blocking. You don't need any previous embroidery experience, all the action happens on the right side of the shawl and there's a photo tutorial as well!

Intimidated by the thought of brioche? The patterns just use two of the simplest brioche stitches. If you can yarn over, slip a stitch & knit two stitches together, you can knit the brioche in Windlestrae - & there's a photo tutorial, just to make sure!

I think (from memory) I found it under the name Fluffy Brioche or possibly Honeycomb Brioche, but so many stitches have multiple names it could be both, or all three! I love the name chainmail for it!

Brioche time! I know we've all seen the gorgeous two colour brioche patterns and some people find them really intimidating, but brioche is honestly really simple. If you can yarn over, slip a stitch and do a knit stitch, you can knit this pattern!

No, this one just starts with three stitches and I widen it with stitches in the middle.

Garter tabs have you knit a strip, then pick up stitches from the side. They're mostly for top down shawls, but for this one I'm going sideways. :)
