I tell you what…why don’t we organise that day out & you can make the sandwiches 😉
Ditto. I’m now spread thinly over too many sites & miss all my Twitter friends 😞
And then imposed by social media judging anyone who exceeded it. It’s why I avoided social media for much of the pandemic - I walked for miles every day (& saw no one) but there’s no way I was going to share that.
It definitely wasn’t ‘only an hour’, it was ‘try to get outside for an hour’s exercise a day.
Book signing ‘Sketching a Year in Lakeland’ in Sam Read’s Books @samreadbookseller.bsky.social this afternoon. It was a very damp day!
We think so too ☺️
We have bats in our loft. Our neighbour was mending a soffit board & a bat hung upside down watching him from just inside the roof space. When he replaced the board he cut a bat sized hole so it could continue to live there. They are such engaging creatures.
Those gates are superb!
Cycle touring in Scottish rain seems to have made my legs stronger now I’m down amongst the pretty cottages & flint built churches of Hampshire. Mind you the hills were just as steep!
How to choose four photos to sum up five days chasing five ferries (one cancelled, all but one struggling with technical issues) around the Scottish islands & mainland peninsulas? Days of sunshine & cycling & torrential rain & cycling. A fabulous few days 🚴‍♀️🚴🏻‍♂️
And rightly so - she did incredibly well. I hope all will be well for you.
You star! You and your daughter! The weather was…interesting 😂
You’re either buzzing this morning or or totally wrecked. Or both.
Er…have you thought of taking the train & a boat back…?
The clouds are so thick here we can’t see anything 🤷‍♀️
It’s different in an event. You’ll be fine, and if you’re not there I’ll be checkpoints where you can drop out. But if you sit & take a rest at each one you’ll probably recover enough to carry on. But don’t hurt yourself. Have fun!
The Florence Mine once produced haematite for the steel industry as the red puddles proclaim. Egremont Castlecis also worth a visit.
If you can get to the exhibition ‘Wrestle’ at the Florence Arts Centre near Egremont, Cumbria, it’s definitely worth visiting. Jan Moss & @chrisroutledge.bsky.social have paintings & photos (& I have a small embroidery). And a fascinating place too.
They might be quite dark too…😂
My pleasure ☺️
I’m looking forward to the photos 😂
I love night walking! I hope you do too 😉
I have read about her. She was amazing. And how wonderful to have known her.
I hope you’re having one installed. With a sign on the door saying exactly that.
Not exactly Pontefract Cakes…
