I also feel a bit icky when I put a lot of energy portraying something wholly negative, life usually offers some sort of rest so it feels artificial to not acknowledge that. Even at their worst, it would just be an end of a cycle, a flatline would appear from which something "good" would grow

their earlier art leaned more into edginess/disbalance of a somewhat dense person and an extremely sensitive person, but i have limited time as is so i don't explore issues as much. Overall they do learn to understand each other so conflicts mellow out anyway
