Also, unlike so many Pi-alikes, Luckfox actually have fantastic documentation and they provide a comprehensive SDK, including Buildroot so you can easily make images to your desired specifications. It's a joy, actually.

I actually bought two of the Luckfox Pico Max boards because they are so useful. One will be a solar webserver. The other will be an always-on master unit so I can do remote wake-on-LAN wherever I am in the world.

I was originally planning to use a NanoPi NEO3 for that but uh....

sometimes a server farm is three thin clients and a tiny SBC

and I think that's beautiful

a messy floor with a clear space underneath, housing two Fujitsu Futro S900 thin clients, another Futro S930 thin client, and a tiny Luckfox Pico Max single-board computer in the middle, with the activity light flashing. Only one of the thin clients is currently active, and has had nail polish painted crudely over the excessively bright activity lights.

My first thought was “wow I hope this guy didn’t give out his name because he could absolutely be charged” and yup, he is correct to stay anonymous.

This man’s account is shocking. His neighbors’ situation is shocking. The entire Chicago raid is shocking.

On the other side was a mom and her 7-year-old daughter, pleading for his help.
"I wasn't planning on letting her stay, but I didn't know what the hell was going on," the man said of his Venezuelan migrant neighbors. But he quickly relented. The little girl was inconsolable and hid under his bed.
"I didn't want them to take her," said the man, who didn't want to be named because he fears he'll be targeted by federal authorities for his actions.
"I gave her my bedroom, and I just told her,
'Just stay there. Don't open, don't, shh, just stay quiet," he recalled telling the mom and daughter as he choked back tears.

this bike is so weird. it had a 1" threaded steerer. but the headset cups are IS41(?) and it absolutely could fit a 1 1/8" steerer.

so I bashed out the old fork (with a headset using 31mm nuts instead of 32mm nuts) and will swap in a new one

bought an inflatable sleeping mat and uh
