TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY! 📚 🚀

Join us in celebrating the launch of Veronica Post‘s THIRD title with Conundrum Press, LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL, a graphic novel exploring travel through the lens of disability and inclusion.
Image is a black and white poster with a cartoon illustration of a man in a self-propelling wheelchair wearing glasses and a vest. The man is ahead of the viewer, and is looking behind toward the viewer while giving a thumbs up and smiling. The text on the poster reads "Book Launch, Let the Good Times Roll. October 8, 6:15 to 8:15pm, Halifax Central Library, Lindsay Children's Room. A graphic novel exploring travel through the lens of disability and inclusion." Image is a black and white poster with only text that reads "Featuring: Artist presentation and Q & A with Veronica Post. Panel discussion: Travelling with a disability. With Guests: Linda Campbell (Deaf representative), Lui Greco (Blind representative), Gerry Post (Limited mobility), Brea Hindy (Disability travel Agent and companion), Maddi Adams (neurodivergent representative), Moderated by Scott Stoneman. Book Signing with Veronica Post. Image is graphic with an illustrated book cover to the left, and a colour portrait photo to the right, side-by-side. The illustrated book cover is for the autobiographical graphic memoir from Veronica Post, Let The Good Times Roll. The black and white illustrated cover depicts two people moving together. The person on the left is a white man in a wheelchair wearing glasses and a vest. The person to the right is a white woman wearing a baseball hat and glasses, carrying a tote bag. Both people are looking fondly at one another as they move forward. The photograph to the right of the book cover depicts a white woman with short brown hair who is looking at the viewer with a slight smile.

Warbler photography is hard and also sometimes very funny.

Anyone else have something for #PhotoFailFriday?#IThinkThisBirdMightBeInWitnessProtection #LeafHappens #WorstBirdPic #birds 🌿
A yellow, dark gray and white bird stands on a thin branch with almost all of its upper body hidden by a perfectly placed leaf. It looks intentional to avoid photography.

Will you be hosting this at SMU as well?

🧐 What is the 4th item indicated by "Haz"?

Oooh. That looks great! I would not have thought of using chinkiang vinegar, so I'm looking forward to trying this.

Those seems really nice. I've dried those for now as I don't think I will go through those very quickly. But a little taste did indicate a really nice sweet and spicy flavour profile so it'll be fun to experiment. Maybe a mango and pepper hot sauce?

I received a pepper plant mislabelled as "jalapeno" and grew it all summer only to find out it looked nothing like jalapeno. This is exactly what the fruit looks like! 🔥🌶️ 😬 Even just cutting it up made my eyes water (wore gloves)

Maybe mystery solved? How do you use in recipes?

Ooh those are nice! Would there be a chance of getting those prints as tea towels?

Lovely sunset over Halifax last evening.
A bank of clouds hangs over a city horizon with water in front. A colorful sunset can be seen reflected in water and clouds.

Truth and Reconciliation happens every day. Honoured to have a kitpu eagle feather in our ENVS lab at @smuscience.bsky.social.
A beaded eagle feather on red cloth laid upon a small slab of honey-coloured rock. It is sitting on a black lab bench top with some lab cleaning materials and sample jars.

No a botanist but I also would spend time admiring this beautiful plant and the gorgeous wood behind it! 📸

Not all claws are created equal - meet the invasive crayfish crew of Michigan. 📣 Check out our Great Lakes Almanac to Invasive Crayfish and learn how to tell these invaders apart from our friendlier native crawdads. 👉 bit.ly/crayfishalma...

That time of the year when grass glisten with early Fall dew. Can you see the little glimpse of the red leaf, a sign of the coming season?
Green grass tipped with dewdrops. A slight blur of red leaf can be seen through the grass blades.

I've been using a USBC mic but its awkward for dynamicsettings. Airpods could be a good option.... 🤔 following.
