This year, during the World Series, when the game is paused for the always emotional “Stand Up To Cancer Segment”…they should make members of Congress attend and hold signs that say, “I cut pediatric brain cancer research”; “I helped cut cancer screenings from Planned Parenthood”; etc., etc.
Racism and xenophobia aside, it’s truly remarkable just how much they attempt to be joy killers. The Barbie movie, Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny…literally any and everything a lot of people genuinely enjoy.
Most of the power authoritarians have is freely given. We should not comply with them in advance.
