Jeskai Revelation is the answer to the question "what would a *good* control finisher look like that *isn't* a big creature or a mill combo?" and it answers it with gusto. Sure it's 7 mana. Sure it's 3 colors. But you know what's in those 3 colors?
the best control pieces in standard.

when paired with the recursion from Stormchaser's Talent, Jeskai Revelation generates a stupendous amount of value and very quickly drains your opponent's will to continue. In this sense, it is the perfect control deck, as I don't have to dawdle around after I gain control. my opponents just give up

allow me to elaborate why I love this card so much.
it's not only that it is an instant speed answer to 2 permanents that draws 2 cards and makes 2 prowess tokens, though that would be enough, it's not only that it gains me life to stabilize from an unrecoverable board state, it's that it wins games

Without this kind of promise, Standard, as a format? it's dead. Wizards has chosen to be derelict in their duties as a curator of a card game, and as such, players have entirely lost confidence and aren't willing to invest anymore.

-Reopen a relationship with a judge system to ensure cheaters don't get to steal wins from honest players, get banned from that shop, and do it somewhere else,

-Dedicate more staff and resources to tournament support, from event promotion to prize support,

-Re-establish 2 year rotation

wizards needs to do at least 1 of a few things to regain player confidence in standard:

-Commit to releasing fewer sets per year

-Dedicate more staff and resources to playtesting designs and eliminating crunch-point changes (Vivi and Nadu being examples)

-Commit to a more aggressive ban schedule

Yeah, convenience stores and such are very predatory on those of us with limited income (myself included.) like, one device is 35-40 bucks for a decently sized one, which will last me 1.5-2 weeks, so I'm spending 80 a month. This stash I've ordered will last me until midway through next year
