A lot of the artwork in "From Rust to Ash" went into making sprites for the items, really pushed what I felt comfortable with, but the #pico8 palette and the limitations of 16 colors on the screen made it easier to push the art I could do

Picotron still has some limitations! CPU being a very important one. But yes, the token removal will make a lot more projects be possible that use the tools provided by Zep.

Well, Zep is very much a one-man army. There have been attempts at making a native android launcher by the community, but none on iOS that id be aware of.

So, pico8 tries to be kin to old consoles by setting limitations. The limitation set on code is measured by these "tokens" which you can have only so many in a program. I've maxed them out on my game. Its a built-in limitation. Makes development focused for us devs, but it's bad for expandability.

Hmmm... It really depends on how the game does. It does have good polish but its a "small game" to Steam players, and I cant expand on it due to tokens. Beyond that, if the game does make decently well on Itchio... Yeah, I would consider a Steam release. And thank you for following the development!🙏
