There have been no consistent updates regarding the discovered bodies, and with many of the identities still unconfirmed, questions have been raised about how the mayor could suggest drowning incidents or the involvement of unhoused individuals in placing bodies in the bayou.

To date, Pollard is the only city council member to question the mayor about transparency regarding the recently found bodies. I spoke with Pollard, who noted that community members are seeking answers. (cont.)

During today’s city council meeting, the mayor stated that the discovery of bodies in the bayou may be connected to individuals who decided to take a swim in the bayou and perished, as well as to unhoused individuals who may have placed deceased members of their community in the bayou. (cont.)

I REPEAT: the feds ordered his arrest even though he wasn’t breaking any laws.
