Today marks the first anniversary of my fursona yay yippee! One year of the silliest bun... I don't have anything to mark the occasion but it's a chance to introduce Bluesky to the jester bunny!!! Originally designed by my friend Bowties&Glasses (look 'em up!), artist credits in alt text.

A reference sheet, titled "The Funny Bnuy" with the pronouns "she/her/bun". It depicts an anthromorphic rabbit with a split of orange and pink fur, with some white areas around the mouth and on the paws. She has bells at the ends of her ears, glasses, spiralling eyes, clothing with a mirrored version of the colour split of her fur, a black collar and black heart-shaped buttons on her chest. She wears a pink and black checkered skirt, has a thin tail with a heart as the tip and black leggings. There is also a "small mode", a smaller version of the design wearing a bodysuit version of the other design's top. Art by Bowties&Glasses (who can be found on Twitter).

Though there's just as much potential for a situation like Chapter 3 where Martlet exists in the Dark World but isn't awake within it, because that'd let Clover interact with her and be the one to let her feel closure without taking away from the tragedy of it all.

One of the sillier ideas is that Martlet would end up in the dark world and use it as an escape, fully dedicating herself to being a puzzle master.

This means plenty of magma ball puzzles and a lot of potential for her to clash with Rouxls.

Part of the AU idea is that Clover would be the Shadow Crystal holder (with Martlet having held onto their hat and all) so if this were a chapter where Berdly comes to the dark world he has the potential to find out in the most traumatic way possible.

Bits and pieces I wrote for this AU idea.

I imagine Clover's death would have been through circumstances like a sudden illness, a situation where Martlet was powerless to prevent things from going the way they did. She moved to hometown because staying in the place Clover died was getting too hard.

Dialogue from Toriel reading:

"Her child, Clover..."

"She believes what happened means she failed as a mother."

"Just be careful, okay?"

"I have a cousin who's a human like you Kris!"

Was thinking how it'd be nice if Clover and Martlet meet under better circumstances and how it'd be good for Kris to grow up knowing another human adopted by a monster so they don't have to feel insecure about that but no he just had to hit me with "what if Clover was THAT doomed by the narrative".

She snuck out onto the balcony even though it’s freezing cold out and refuses to come back in. She’s sitting right next to the window to keep an eye on me and if I walk towards the door she makes a break for it and hides in her rabbit hutch (which she refuses to use unless she’s actively hiding)

I like it when certain features of a character's design change in different settings, such as the mask glowing in the dark!
It also has a "human disguise", which looks incredibly out of place, lol. I wanted that form to have a "human bill cipher" type of feel. A weird little guy with chaotic energy.

Nuh uh you're awesome sauce. I know you're looking for something concrete to root that in but these kinds of things aren't directly quantifiable. It's all driven by feeling and emotion. When you try to quantify someone's value or worth you get into some pretty murky territory anyhow.
