It was loud and there was trash-talking. Was it a friendly environment for a teenager? Maybe not but it felt safe going with my dad.

As someone who enjoyed the vibrant community and fun blitz sessions, the new @chessable.com guest blog post was particularly interesting to me.

It's not uncommon for big cities to have a park with chess tables, where hustlers and experts gather to play with chess enthusiasts and by-passers.

In my hometown of Lima, Peru, we had two such places and growing up, I would go there to practice with stronger players.
