I’m a stickler for proper punctuation in formal writing, but one thing I just refuse to do is do “?!” instead of “!?” because “!?” LOOKS BETTER. I know technically both are informal, and there’s not a correct order, but I always see people defaulting to ?!, and I just think it looks ugly.
