i can’t live without aseprite’s animation timeline and tags, but one thing i wish was better is the palette!

the problem is always stuff like conditional effects, targeting, etc. if the icons are partial or inaccurate it feels super bad when the actual attack does something unexpected

i'd need a really robust system to evaluate all that and reduce it into a series of legible icons that fit on the screen

you do get the color and icon in the current version, but I haven't solved condensing the card behavior to a series of icons

feels like a price I have to pay to get richer enemy behaviors and letting you interact with the enemy deck of cards?
