Local elections matter. We need good, caring, compassionate, and creative people in office — people who will protect New Yorkers, keep our communities strong, and make sure vital services keep running.
If you’re outraged by what’s happening at the federal level, make your voice heard — VOTE in your local elections. 🗳️

That’s how we bring sanity back to government and send a clear message about the America we want to live in.

League members were busy today at the Beacon Sloop Club Pumpkin Festival! 🎃

We helped community members register to vote, shared election information, and encouraged everyone to make a plan to vote this November.

It’s always inspiring to see so many neighbors ready to make their voices heard.
TODAY!

We’ll keep growing, keep building, keep rejecting the attacks on our communities. We’re energized and we’re only getting stronger. We’ll see you on the streets today!

What this proposal would do is create real barriers for eligible voters — especially young people, married women who’ve changed their names, and low-income Americans.

This “proof of citizenship” proposal tries to solve a problem that doesn’t exist.

Noncitizen voting is already illegal — and exceedingly rare. Our current safeguards already prevent, detect, and prosecute it when it happens.
