Being Gen Z with fellow Gen Z peers, while also having Boomer parents/uncles/aunts.

Gen Z is more likely to run into the woods and solely use analog technology, and Boomers will be riding on hovercraft wheelchairs with holograms, implants, and an underpaid assistant that helps them use the tech.

Moreso for me. I managed to be MAGA in 2015-2021, then stopped and went Libertarian to Liberal in 2022-2024. Just in time for everyone to seemingly switch.

What is up with online Muslims? I know a lot of them in public, completely normal people. Heck, my doctor is a Muslim. Never had an issue.

But online I swear all I see is them calling to destroy "the West", to cover all women, and screaming at people to join Allah or die.

I feel like we should just force companies to pay their employees a certain percent. Like "no employee should make less than 1/60th what the CEOs and shareholders make". So we don't get billionaires with employees making $40K a year.

The sickest man I know who has constant kidney stones, colon polyps, horrid gout, blood clots yearly, and liver scarring has eaten 12 different veg every day, fruit 3x, no eggs/bacon/skin, only lean meat like venison and chicken, no dairy, and eats peanut butter and tofu daily.

Every Boomer I know(which is my dad, his 5 siblings, my mom's 4 siblings, their friends) all buy new appliances, electronics, and furniture every 2 years and call it "keeping up with the Jones's".

But the Gen Z'ers I know thrift shop and repair old electronics.

Life feels super bleak. Electronics are being phased out, repair is going away, all phones, TVs, and furniture are identical with no soul, new appliances break in 2 years, new clothes and decor are cheap and look awful. What's the point in buying anything?

I get what you mean. As a kid I used to remove half the bun on burgers, ate toppings off pizza, and debreaded meat. And I hated beans.

Same symptoms might be another sugar intolerance.

There's the polysaccharides - amylose, amylopectin, glycogen. The disaccharides - maltose, lactose, sucrose. And then the monosaccharides - glucose, fructose, galactose.

My gut issues are caused by Maltose. Turns out I don't digest it so I bloat, feel sick, and get super gassy.

It explains why all grains, candy, honey, potatoes, and apples mess me up the worst. I just thought I had a million intolerances.

Don't worry, MAGA loves this. They're so anti-Liberal they'll suck a monarch's toes for free. I just had 3 of them tell me equality and freedom is dying and they love it cause it's stupid.

Anyone else feeling like everyone is batshit insane right now? I know that's probably a sign to get off SM for a few days, but wow.

My politics are fairly normal for where I live, but online everyone feels like they just live on another planet entirely.

I never get sick in the fall or winter.

I tend to get sick in spring, usually June. Happens every 2 years.
