So as you can tell, this is all very OOC, with clear references to characters like Orem, Capt. Locke, Paul, Fogue, and Kantos being mentioned, it's an AU thing so it doesn't 100%

Species of residents you'd find in Bianjiang are humans, freshwater beastfolks and hominians, cat and dog beastfolks as well as hominians, (eastern) dragon beastfolks, freshwater merfolks and you'd also find those mixed like Xuanyi whose father is a human while his mother is a carp hominian

Bianjiang men are known for their "grace like startled swans, poise like gliding dragons" appearance, I imagine that some from the draconic depths upon hearing the latter description would be so daring to test this fact, only to end up paired with a Bianjiang dragon that's so much elegant than them

interestingly in the courtyard of the temple, it is where idols across Woofia such as Byun Woogyu himself, would perform on tour, the courtyard of the temple can be described as being able to fit an audience of a thousand,

More 'face claims' for Daxiang temple because I think it'd be a fascinating place (Daxiang temple is based on the Song dynasty grand temple called 大相国寺（daxiangguo temple), added with Yongle palace temple of the Yuan dynasty, and Jinci temple of shanxi from the Song dynasty)

Daxiang temple, one of the biggest sites in Bianjiang, the architecture, statues, murals and art preserved since ancient times, in the eight directions to the temple, there are vendors and sellers and merchants all around, devotees can easily access offerings to buy (images not mine)

sometimes you can see performance is happening on water on mini islands or floating platforms, floating restaurants exists too, with boats as dining seats, in the pleasure district exclusive to the of age, there are courtesans well-respected as artists and local celebrities (again images not mine)

Culturally, Bianjiang city is said to be exceptionally fragrant of books and literature and culture, everywhere you go it is guaranteed that you may see an opera play on small stage, due to the heavy presence River and water canals one would have to get a boat taxi to go around, (images not mine)
