As We Grow Older, II (2020)

an artwork held in inks and pale blues and beiges with popping reds depicts a mercenary, now adoptive father to a rambunctious Tiefling girl. He's dressed in armor while she wears a thick tunic with a fur collar and fur-lined bootsies. She's warming her hands at a fire she just set, face full of mischievous joy as she retells her latest tales of heroics, speaking of bloody battles with ginormous beasts in strangely gorey detail -- all the work of a 11 year old, of course. While her father, used to her delusions of grandeur starts nodding off, simply making smalls "Aha"s and "Mhm"s while her far too loud voice carries across the snow

Feeling... rough. Lately.

Cait holds her head in her hands, overwhelmed by pinging alerts
