Every now and then we have a large herd of about 16 elk wandering into our camp. We saw them the first week we arrived at our campsite and now they have babies! 🥰

My most favorite shot was the one on sauvie island. This oak tree caught my eye, came back the next day with my camera to an amazing sunset and mt hood in the background and as soon as I took the shot, a whole flock of geese took off! 😍

Every Wednesday I get to spend the day at the Cape Perpetua Lookout. Walking the trails, enjoying nature, and answering questions people have about the area, and watching for birds and whales.

I’m back! After 7 months of traveling the west coast, I’ve finally landed on the Oregon Coast where I’m volunteering at the Cape Perpetua Visitors Center this summer. Yesterday I hiked the Giant Spruce trail to see this magnificent 600 yo giant.

A multi armed saguaro cactus with one arm that has a little round arm budding off the end.

Reason 200 of why you should never skydive in the desert…you might land on one of these hook thorned cactus. The hooks were about 2” long!

Yesterday was full of sorrow, joy, and emptiness. My sweet Huckleberry is now free from his earthly body and as soon as he left it he told me he was free and his spirit felt so light.
We shared our fav moments with him as he passed and he was surrounded by love and family, just as he wanted it.

Is it just me or do you get flitty as a hummingbird when you see one?
Hi I’m Jeni, I’m a big bird lover. I even married someone with a bird last name 🤣.
We started our full time RV travel in September and made it all the way from eastern Washington to Arizona!
