// LMFAO 😂 Nah, he's had his fill of bloodshed, much as he is more than capable of and willing to do it again.

Actually plan to have him approach Furina to let her know he's there so she can lay eyes on him and what he's wearing kjsksks and to thank her for the invite in general

//My Ajax has not no 😂

I think with Matt it's more the motivation, how he feels about it and the fact that unlike most of the other people he's being compared to, he's just a human and unaffiliated with any organization known for this sort of thing.

He's still gonna go, he just thinks it's funny 😂

// Sarcasm is just a family trait at this point, can't wait to get my Wrio and Matt in the same room 😂

~Fontaine's most recent mass murderer; I'm sure everyone will be delighted to know I'm in attendance." He muses, shaking his head at his own stupid remarks and looking back down at the invitation.

"...don't suppose there's a plus one option?" His gaze flickers back up. "Much as I know Warren will~

Now that he wasn't as... stressed and forced into fight or flight, he could relax and be more the person he actively chose to be.... which was a lot more like Wriothesley than either of the brothers would admit.

"Mm, yes." He drawls with a lilt of sarcasm. "An invitation to a masquerade gala for~

…. Something about how he bumped into the chair reminded him of the Duke in the Fortress below, for some reason. A soft breath of a snort escaping as he raised a brow toward him, mild amusement smoothing his expression into something open— Relaxed.

"Hm." Matthias makes a face and looks off. "Guess that answers my question. How unfortunate."

Straightening out and actually stepping into the office now, eyes glued to the invitation to the point he actually walked into the chair across from Neuvillette's desk, pausing to assess how he managed it~

...he'll start taking out the arcane circles. That'll get their attention.

Set on his course, Matthias dropped the rag he'd used to wipe himself off and strode off with a whistle, disappearing once again into the Fontainian countryside....

He stood there and watched the old church burn until the first rays of sunlight started peeking over the horizon, using that time to decide where he would strike the~

~The blaze roared and licked the skies, masking the agonized cries from within the building.

Matthias was beyond caring, wiping the blood off his hands and face as best he could with an old rag as he stood there and watched it burn like he were taking in a piece of art.

He said nothing as he stepped out of the doors, watching all the people slowly trying to clamber for them as he closed them up for the last time, lodging the axe in the wood to trap the cultists inside.~

Matthias knew he should care, but he just couldn't. With his free hand, he shoved her away from himself, watching her smaller body hit the floor and ripping the knife out of his hip, gaze keen on the way~

Matthias stared at her when she looked up at him.... she couldn't be more than nineteen.

...he should care, and he knows he should deep down.

But he doesn't.
This nineteen year old would have plunged this blade into his neck~

Once the room reeked of blood and the pained cries of the people that hunted him, Matthias shouldered the axe and started for the doors, whistling a tune as he tipped a few candles over on his way out.

At the door, he~

No warning came when he swung the axe into the gut of the person~

The group parts like the seas as he makes his way forward, heading for the doors and pushing them open before he rips the fire extinguisher off the wall and whips it out into the open, slowly closing the double doors after and sliding the lock in place.

Then, he reached for the axe~
