On the downside, our debt is like 120% of GDP and everything costs way more than it should due to regulatory overhead. In his defense that’s also Wilson’s fault for initiating the Federal Reserve on behalf of fat cat bankers. And Nixon for nixing 😉 the gold standard.
National debt up $1 trillion in past two months. This is not sustainable and is theft from us all.
I loved it until calc III. Then I wanted to kill myself.
So make them voluntary and we’ll have a lot of uptake. Forcing them produces a natural human reaction to resist. Also there is real data that they can cause harm that I think we’ve been ignoring. It’s not a 0 vs 100% question in my view.
That would preferable to all the focus on bombing private boats in the Carib
Paid $14 to have my first child in 1993 and that was because we opted for a private phone line in the room.
Sadly we abandoned the experiment in 1913. Thanks Woodrow Wilson.
And by evidence I mean that the harm potential for at risk ppl when we don’t force vaccinate vs the harm potential to those injured by vaccine when we do. Not a trade off we should squander rights for too eagerly.
Different yes, but the logic that enables us to force potential bodily harm on someone in one case will enable it in the other. Just as the seatbelt analogy enables us to extend that to disease. Removing individual liberty for safety even when evidence is not clear seems a mistake in my view
Do we force vaccinate against rabies? Some die of flu. Should we force vaccinate against flu? Some of heart disease. Should we ban mothers from cooking with butter or force exercise programs into households? Are there no risks to the vaccinated that would warrant them making their own choice?
It’s also curious that we assume one person not getting vaccinated necessarily results in multiple others dying. Is this borne out in data?
Do you accept that vaccines have risks? And that some are more susceptible to those risks than others? Where should the decision be if not with the individual who bears the risk?
The same argument anti abortion advocates make.
Wait. Are they forcing Americans to house and feed ICE agents?
Thanks for sharing. I still can’t get past the idea of overriding bodily autonomy, but appreciate the conversation
So if 100% vaccinate, 3% will still be susceptible?
I’m convinced neither side wants them released and they use each other as the scapegoat depending on who’s in office.
Might I recommend a return of power to the people? Conventionofstates.com
But if the vaccines work, what is the threat? I honestly don’t understand this argument.
We can drain it ourselves. They’ll never relinquish their own power. Conventionofstates.com
The govt is the root of much of the problem in healthcare. Please acknowledge this as the reality
Only true if we were prevented from all sources of sustenance except from the state. A scary world to imagine. Meanwhile let’s help each other through private action where the need exists
Holy moly I just realized the ballroom is in preparation for the anniversary. Makes a lot more sense now. Seemed so random before.
