Thank you thank you !!! This clears it up a bit more. Knowing now that CV2 is meant to be disconnected from both CV1 and GE in terms of lore, I'm actually looking forward about what new stuff they have in store... 😳👉👈

you can tell i'm spoiled by being in ffxiv fandom for so long bc we acknowledge how bonkers the lore is there sometimes, so its completely ok (encouraged even) to break and mold it to fit your ocs...

i thought the differences were neat !! and opens up GE's world to much more possibilities beyond Fenrir's intervention. like ??? were there other factions that did their own thing bc they didn't have access to fenrir's tech ?? how successful were they ???

So I saw the stuff happening in Vein as them trying to come up with their own solution to combat the aragami threat, which then snowballed into a completely different problem they now had to deal with as a side effect of developing the BOR parasite

i personally subscribe to GE-CV being in a shared universe, mostly bc it made me think about what the rest of the world did to adapt to the aragami menace. Not every place was under the jurisdiction of Fenrir (as evidenced by the existence of satellite bases in GE)

I usually just keep to myself when it comes to my oc stuff, so i'm actually surprised to learn that there's tension between the CV and GE sides of the fandom..... like please.... we are siblings borne from the same neglective parent we do not have to fight....

interesting(?) direction they're heading for the lore.... it doesn't really feel like it's connected at all to the first game aside from them using the "revenant" term
