update - i haven't tested positive but i also was running a fever last night so i think it's pretty safe to say i'm also infected. friend is staying elsewhere for now, and i'm gonna hold off on streams for this upcoming week too

davinci resolve is the standard for free, and it's just as powerful/intricate as any other editor. and luckily most modern video editors work roughly the same, so just watching a tutorial for one should get you able to use any of them, in my experience
