I have always prized those early days because I grew up without fearing other nationalities & religions. We all mingled with the understanding that certain religions would have to marry similar but still good friends. Houses were high set weatherboard.

It's guys too like tradesmen riddled with arthritis who can't do trade when old & have never done anything else.
There are far less jobs for building supervisors.

Ah companies got unemployed labour for X number of weeks for less than award rate because the were supposed to teach you skills. Good way to get cheap workers.

It will be in my papers but can't even remember what month I married but think was 1971 maybe June. Drunk who could think of more places to hide vodka whilst drinking cider so could say "I can't be l drunk on a bottle of cider".
