... I am of the opinion that every soap-related winner was deserving, and most might even have been my pick. And yes, merit is relative to the competition. 2025 is arguably better for #GH, and they should sweep next year too. #DaytimeEmmys 2/2

Anyway, with the Daytime Emmys, we obviously had some consequences of (a) not being produced for broadcast, and (b) mixing the tech and other awards, and (c) the weird hybrid of kid/animal/talk/judge/cooking/soap shows that always plagues this ceremony. That said ...1/2

I still love Myra every day, and she's really "back" (living in the village, etc). It's these 1-3 day visitors -- often with deep histories -- that I haven't ever been able to see because the legacy stuff isn't available.

On #YR, as a legacy viewer, I'm happy when they bring back folks (Cricket! Danny! Nina! Jill! Brooks Sisters!). But today's #Hollyoaks shows me that's a mixed blessing. Because I'm sitting here watching all these returns like "why should I care?".

#Neighbours We instantly clocked Colton's frozen shock from seeing Wendy unconscious. I'm assuming either he or a loved one experienced this in the past (gay bashing?). Zac bring trauma into his life (shady tennis guy) is not going to go well.

#Neighbours made me sad today, in a "Send In The Clowns" way. Because when Wendy realizes *why* Andrew is recommitted to her (guilt), she's not going to accept him. Sadness ahead for Wendy, Andrew & Holly, who may now pay a lifetime for these mistakes.

I haven’t loved them either, but I think drum-beaters against Ashley/Derek are not going to get their wish. Rounding out backstory, deepening the pairing, growth in performers, more direct and indirect ties. A&D are going to become more central and connected #BTG #BeyondTheGates

Today Andre says to Dani “Bill was with me,” she gives a quick look, fade to black, no music. #BTG is so much more subtle and understated about cliffhangers than the other soaps. I like this but it takes getting used to. #BeyondTheGates
