Indeed, Saerd, it very much is.

My late husband and I married in Niagara Falls, on the Canadian side, laughingly calling it 'neutral territory'.

We were surprised City Hall sporting a portrait of Queen Elizabeth, while playing English music.

We discovered Canada to be surprisingly British. 🇬🇧

How wonderful you were introduced to this cinematic recording at school.
Impressive.

Never liked him, or his buddy.
They should have had Monica running the show solo.

Same in the US with the American flag.
If I fly a flag now (and I do not) it would be the California flag, flying for independence as they do in Scotland.

Excellent choice on all accounts.

Since we lost Mowgli someone said we should consider getting a dog.

No disrespect to dogs but no.

Was and still is, my friend.
I listen to it often.
It is both a song and a story, isn't it?

An iPhone will never replace this.

A hearty YES to both, Dave.

I adore Yo-Yo Ma, autumn and this gorgeous recording.

"Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed."

The Lark Ascending

One of six recordings my late husband chose to be played at his funeral.

Always on 'England's Top 10 Greatest Recordings List'.

Frequently played on BBC Radio 3 in the UK.

Foreign to most American ears.

Appreciate you sharing this, Paul.
I have read the story, but it's good to be reminded, now mmore than ever.

I'm crazy impressed with @thenerve.news, A.
They've accomplished so much since leaving the Observer.

Looking very much like this in our community, A.

The grandmothers are leading the resistance.
marshacoupe.bsky.social
As an optimist myself, and a reader, I believe we will indeed reach a boiling point where enough of us resisters will take back our country.

Next Saturday, the 18th, is going to be massive. Already, our community has moved to a bigger outdoor venue, allowing us to take over the entire city.

600,000 people gathered in London to hold power to account for their crimes against humanity. We will not stop until the oppressed are liberated and justice is done. You can't do a genocide and walk away...
Crowds of protestors in London behind a huge banner that reads 'if Palestine dies, humanity dies' Photo from a bridge showing 1000s of protestors on the streets of London. Big Ben and parliament are in the background Protestors standing on Waterloo bridge with banners, green smoke and flags A Palestine flag is visible in the foreground, 2 signs in the middle read 'stop arming Israel' & 'hold the murderers to account'. I'm observing what's happening in the UK, Rachel, my home from 2000 - 2020, in horror.
Deeply concerned your beautiful country may also succumb to fascism.
Rather than America being a warning, it seems to be a magnet for spreading hate and terrorism.
