Had my houseboat moored a couple of miles away until a few years ago. Its deteriorated badly over the last 3 or 4 years.

In early September last year I was given privileged access to a Records Centre. Imagine my surprise when offered the original 1823 Stephenson notebook which contained his precis and business case for the construction and operation of a thing called a railway, the Stockton and Darlington Railway.
