The @canva Text to Image feature has brought me joy today. Creating promos for our new books and needed the "just right" book-smelling pictures.
Yes! I love my PLN for inspiration, collaboration and opportunities for our students.🤩

Creating a collection of spooky reads for grade 7 to browse was fun. Click on the spider in the bottom right corner to return to the creepy doors🕷️🕸️

The retellings display I created for autumn has generated some good conversation in the library. Sometimes I don't know what I would do without @canva!

'Punching The Air' was our first #ProjectLITBookClub for this school year. A lot of great discussion with an amazing group of students.

Spent the weekend at the Foundations of Adaptive Schools training. It was great to attend face-to-face professional development, connect with so many educators, and continue to build a collaborative culture for our students @Think_Collab and @AdaptiveSchools #ACSLearns
I love to start the year with book tastings. Getting students talking about books and into the library 😍📚 @acsabudhabi

'Thirst' by @varshabajaj is an excellent middle grades novel. I have been thinking of the many ways that it could be used to support the teaching and learning around water scarcity and #GlobalGoals. 'Thirst' would make an excellent read aloud or book club option. #Goal6 #SDG6
Thank you @picklennium and @taraethridge for the inspiration. It is nice to look back at a summer well spent. I didn't read as many middle grades books as I usually do, but I have a TBR list ready 😁📚
Summer is coming to an end and I am thinking of my great summer reads.
It is amazing to have teachers that join in on the #Books2Eat fun with you! @ACSAbuDhabiMS
This #Books2Eat made me smile. The students that created them, called them "Charlie Brown(ies)" @ACSAbuDhabiMS @SchulzMuseum
My #Books2Eat was inspired by @dbhiguera's The Last Cuentista. Imagine sleeping for 380 years, waking up and this is the only thing you eat, nutritious “bioloaf” and mood-altering tonic. Bioloaf is described as what would occur if, "kale, hay, prunes and vinegar had a baby.
This #Books2Eat is based on 'Poison' by
@sarahalbee This student calls this "Radium Bars with a dusting of Arsenic" @acsabudhabi @ACSAbuDhabiMS
Thrillingly good cakes for our #books2eat These series have been so popular this year! @HoJay92 @maureenjohnson @ACSAbuDhabiMS @acsabudhabi
Do you ever read a bunch of books by the same author and feel like they get you? For me, it's @AmeDyckman I am a bit late to the game with 'Dandy' but the timing was perfect. It's almost dandelion season.

We added magazines on Sora this week and students are already loving them! I had fun (actual fun) curating these collections to make browsing for magazines easier. @Sorareadingapp
Building our summer reading TBR list in middle school this week. I feel like this is such an exciting time to be a reader! #middlegradeslit #mglit
We have so many crafty entrepreneurs in middle school. How cute are these?!

I am a huge fan of using @canva to create my library displays. Here is the template I used and adapted to create my Ramadan Reads poster - I love the colours!
