Today in class, pupils celebrated #MathsWeekScotland with Folded Nature: Maths in Motion! 🌿✨ They explored maths in the natural world by creating origami animals and plants, discovering shape, symmetry & pattern through fun, hands-on learning. #OrigamiForNature #MathsInMotion

S2 have been studying Mary Shelley’s ‘Frankenstein’. Today, pupils had a wee numeracy starter to celebrate Maths Week and recap our knowledge of scientist Luigi Galvani who inspired Shelley’s work! ⚡️🐸 @mathsgrangemouthhs.bsky.social

🔎 They carried out in-class research on topics like symmetry in leaves, the Fibonacci sequence in plants & patterns in nature.
📝 Pupils presented their findings through illustrations & written explanations, showing just how much maths shapes the world.
