I’m pleased to share that I’ve helped secure a £30,000 reimbursement following a recent case raised with my office—a real casework win that I’m proud of.

These are real successes for real people here in the Forest of Dean, and my team and I are working hard every day to deliver results like these.

Four years ago today, we lost Sir David Amess — a dedicated MP and a kind, generous man.

There can be no place for violence or hatred in our democracy.

We remember his service, his warmth, and his commitment to others. 💙

I’ve co-signed this letter to the Chancellor to highlight just how important the hospitality sector is. Both nationally and here in the Forest of Dean.

As the Government prepares the Autumn Budget, it’s right that we recognise the pressures facing hospitality and look at how we can best support it.

The Labour Government is bringing back family services to our communities, with £221,184 of investment for Gloucestershire.

Every child in the Forest of Dean deserves the best start in life, and under this Labour Government, we’re making that happen.

I’m pleased to share that Dean Heritage Centre has been awarded £58,285 in Government funding — support I’ve been pleased to help secure with my colleagues in Government.

I recently visited Chronos Technology Ltd in Lydbrook, to learn about the work they’re doing in defence and security and technological advances more broadly.

Their work is a real credit to the local community and a reminder of the skills and expertise we have right here in the Forest of Dean!

💚 World Mental Health Day 💚

Mental health is health — and it deserves the same care, investment, and attention as physical health.

Too many people still face barriers when they ask for help. We need to keep tackling stigma, improving access to support, and listening to those with lived experience.

🕯️ This week is Baby Loss Awareness Week (9–15 Oct) — a time to remember all the babies who have died too soon, and to stand with families who’ve experienced this heartbreaking loss. 💗

We must keep working to ensure every bereaved family gets the care and compassion they deserve.

I recently met with Natalie and Joanne from Forest Sensory Services (FSS) at Fox’s Bridge to talk about the brilliant work they’re doing for people with sensory impairments.

Many of my constituents will have family and friends who have relied on or are reliant on their integral services.

Back from a brilliant week at Labour Party Conference in Liverpool 🌹

It was great to connect with colleagues, unions and charities all working for a fairer future. I really valued conversations with the teams and charities all doing vital work for our communities.

Horrified by today’s terror attack in Manchester. My thoughts are with the victims, their families & the Jewish community.

As a former Police Officer, I know the trauma left behind. We must stand united, reject hate, and ensure our services have the support they need.

We will not bow to fear. 🕯️

2/4 Parents of children with life-changing or life-limiting conditions do not want to rely on benefits or support services. No parent ever wishes to find themselves such a situation. But when they do, the reality is that they need support – and it should be guaranteed, compassionate, and timely.

3/4 The Government should act on this not out of political convenience, but because it is the right thing to do.

This is about ensuring families facing the most unimaginable challenges are not left to struggle alone. It’s about dignity, compassion, and fairness.

1/4 Supporting Hugh’s Law and Harry’s Pals

Some issues rise above politics. They’re not about party lines, political point scoring, or personal benefit – they’re about doing what is right.

That’s why I am proud to support Hugh’s Law and the incredible work of Harry’s Pals.

A huge congratulations to England Women for winning the Rugby World Cup — what a performance.

I especially want to give a special shoutout to the outstanding players from Gloucester-Hartpury, based in our Forest of Dean, who’ve played their part in this victory.

Have you been diagnosed with osteoporosis?

As Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Osteoporosis, I am supporting an important inquiry into how people living with the condition can be better supported in their care
