Using this technology as a placeholder doesn't change where it got its images from. It doesn't use less energy that way. It doesn't poison poor communities less. Using it in the anniversary announcement of one of the most anticipated heroes' return is normalizing all of this.

Love of art, of the things that make us human, is under constant threat by forces that would let you die if it saved them $100 and would steal your hard work without losing a minute of sleep over it. I am a teacher, and every day I work with kids whose minds are being stolen from them by tech companies. I see them lose their ability to imagine, their ability to develop their own interests. I see cherished friends who work in art and music posting about their suicidal depression over their jobs

LSS using it like this tells their fans "hey it's okay to use this as long as you don't publish it!" but publishing it is only part of the problem. This technology is a poison not just on our artistic spirit but our real world. AI companies use more energy than entire large american cities

Every time someone uses an AI prompt they poison an entire glass of drinking water and contribute to the poisoning of the underpriviliged areas these companies put their data centers in. Millions do this every day. Every small use of it is contributing to the death of this world, that's the issue

If it isn't what it's gonna look like then there's no point to it being used at all imo. If it was a new hero?? I could MAYBE understand, but we already know what she looks like. It took what was supposed to be a hype teaser and confirmed to me that LSS is okay using AI internally and that sucks
