To my understanding, there's an exchange stabilization fund that the treasury can just unilaterally use for this sort of thing with no Congressional approval required.
Farmers and conservatives are mad mad so hopefully this will come back to bite someone, though.

I've lived up and down California and always had a fridge, dishwasher, stove, and microwave come with.

Covered California is predicting that plan costs will double for households making less than $40k and increase by 50% for people making more. I just don't see how anyone, healthy or not, doesn't decide to drop marketplace insurance and take their chances.

Horrible person Miriam Cates actually raised that exact argument starting at 1:33 (and later did her own Spectator article on it, presumably as damage control after this interview). And you hit his response on the head, he's a "right of every potential life to exist" absolutionist.

If you didn't catch it upthread already, he has gone on TV and written articles for the Spectator advocating for marriage to immediate relatives.
His argument is that banning such relationships dooms the potential children from them to not be born. Which probably hits really hard if you're stupid.
