Let’s stay peaceful, respect free speech, and show up strong + united. ✊🏽❤️🕊️ #NoKings #PeacefulProtest

Over 150 years after the “Kake War,” Kake has been actively engaging in efforts to heal its community and foster generational abundance, all while recognizing its past. A healing center is being developed and formal apologies are being given. 🩵

Are you a woman who changed your name when you got married?

Congress is considering a bill that could make it much harder for you to vote.

I’d guess about 1,300 people at Juneau’s protest today in front of the Alaska Capitol. Largest I’ve seen there since the women’s march and march for science during the first Trump term. Extra credit to the person who had a Greenland flag — not many of those in town, I’d guess. #akleg #Alaska

Happy Elizabeth Peratrovich Day! Ḵaax̱gal.aat (1911–1958), who was Raven of the Tlingit Lukaax.ádi clan, gave a moving speech that is believed to be a large reason the first civil rights bill for Alaska Natives was passed in 1945. Read more about her here:
